In order to promote and account the impact of the event two main strategies:

 June 7th Event Registration

In order to prove the benefits of our devices a test event was realized on Saturday June 7th in University of Alicante’s Park.

30 people were invited to the event in order to proof the goodness of our prototypes and the quality of the activities that these modules allow to happen. The event consisted in a Tardeo-like party, this means that food and drink were offered and also a good atmosphere.

The modules and guests did not only accomplish our expectations but overcame them.

ACCOMPLISHED GOALS

1. Make people recycle offering incentives –free food and drinks- and using fun as a tool.

2. Give a new space to the trash different to the existing situation and to the traditional way to understand a place to throw away wastes.

3. Create a branding image.

4. Promote the interaction between people

5.Serve as urban furniture.

All these result enlighten the goodness and potentials of theses colourful devices.

A measurement has been realized in order to back our results. Objective issues concerning distance to the recycling devices, collecting capacity or how it influences in the users behaviour are the key questions in this study. After a meeting with the City Council we have made this cards to explain to INUSA who work our devices.

June 14th Event Registration

Finally on June 14th we were given the chance to prove the goodness of our modules in the context where they belonged, 25 de Mayo Square during the event of Tardeo. To promote the use of the devices, the stickers mentioned above were given to the users in order to register the reach of the intervention.

“Hazte el Sueco” Campaign Measurement

The people which were caught using the modules to recycle were given a sticker that will lately give in exchange discounts and gifts on the pubs and bars involved in the initiative.

ACCOMPLISHED GOALS

1. Make people recycle offering incentives –gifts and sicounts- and using fun as a tool.

5.Serve as urban furniture, the devices were extremelly atracttive-because of its colours-for the children, whom were the first ones using them in the square.
